"A Trip Inside" is the first official release of ELECTRO / MAGNETIC, an Ambient solo project by Italian music artist Nicola Maggi.
After many years of beat making with a DAW, he decided to change direction and started experimenting with cassettes, tape loops, analog and digital synthesizers, samples and all kind of recordings to create soundscapes with organic textures and drones, without leaving aside musicality and harmony.

Searching for a lighter, direct and less calculated way to compose music, he started enjoying a tactile approach: his signature style is to mix his songs live with a cassette 4-track recorder.
The warmth of tape, the imperfections of analog, the unplanned decisions pour into the inspiration of the moment, crystalizing into a unique result with a precise coordinate in space and time.

He gets inspiration from the landscape he lives in, between the Como Lake and the Prealps. The depths of the dark waters and the peaks of the green and grey mountains are the impulse to explore the depths and peaks inside himself.
